The Freeze or Fry LC swim meet is 2 Day Timed Final meet hosted by the Red Deer Catalina Swim Club in Red Deer, Alberta from June 8-9th, 2024. This is a very unique racing opportunity for swimmers in a long course pool as one of Alberta's few outdoor 50m pools.
As the name suggests, this meet will run in all weather conditions (safety measures will be followed) so please plan accordingly. This is not a team travel meet so families will be expected to travel on their own and find their own accommodations (great weekend for camping early June if weather permits). Finalized timelines will come out closer to the event.
The swim meet is open to all families with swimmers in AGP, JAG, OW, JOW, JD(c). We have secured spots for 90 swimmers to attend so the first 90 to sign up will guarantee their spots, so please declare early!
Declaration for Freeze or Fry is open March 4th, 6:00am until May 20th, 11:59pm, 2024. Please speak to your coaches regarding this swim meet if you have any questions. PLEASE declare what days you will be attending in the Registration Notes. If there are no notes in the declaration, your swimmer will be assumed to be attending every day of the event.
UPDATE: The dates have been adjusted to match the new meet package. The meet now runs Saturday and Sunday June 8-9th only. If you have not yet declared please do so soon. We have received notice from the meet management that the swim meet is full so we can only send the amount of swimmers for the spots we have reserved.
