2022 KSC LC Invitational

Hi HP/P/AGP families,

The 2022 KSC LC Invitational is a 3-day heats-and-finals meet at the Repsol Sport Centre in Calgary from February 25th-27th, 2022. All of our HP, P, and AGP swimmers are encouraged to attend this event. This is a prime opportunity for swimmers to get some major Long Course experience ahead of meets like Champs and Westerns!

PRELIMINARY: Please Declare your PRELIMINARY attendance by January 14th, 2022 at 8:00pm. This can be changed later!

Please Declare your FINAL attendance by February 7th, 2022 at 11:59pm. Talk to your coach if you have any questions!

If you are only interested in attending certain days of the swim meet (for example, Friday/Saturday/Sunday only), PLEASE declare what days you will be attending in the Registration Notes. If there are no notes in the declaration, your swimmer will be assumed to attend all 3 days.

The A&B Final Plans, Psych Sheets, 400 Free Psych Sheet, Session 1 Meet Program, Session 1-5 Reports, and Warm-Up Lanes are now available on the Event page on the website.

• A&B Final Plans – this document shows a summary of the number of entries per event and age category. Based on the Meet Format, events that have more than 23 swimmers  will have a B final added to the already scheduled A final. This list of events with A or A&B finals will not change between now and Saturday/Sunday evening Finals sessions.
• Psych Sheets – the psych sheets for all events and age categories are summarized in this document.
• 400 Free Psych Sheet – as communicated a few weeks ago, they split events 107/108 to run the two fastest heats on Friday and the balance of the heats on Saturday evening. This document identifies the swimmers (yellow highlight) that will swim Friday evening. The rest of the swimmers will swim Saturday evening. Meet Mobile doesn’t show this online and shows everyone swimming on Saturday.
• Session 1 Meet Program – the meet program for Friday’s events. You will notice that the 400 Free heats as discussed above are properly shown here. For the boys 400 Free (Event 108), there are only 15 swimmers swimming in the two heats. The other three boys will swim in a separate heat Saturday evening.
• Session 1-5 Report – the session times for all five sessions are shown in this document.
• Warm-up Lanes – a summary of the warm-up lanes, times, and plans for dive/back starts is attached. Warm-up lanes for clubs will be assigned before each session and some clubs may end up sharing lanes with other clubs.

Mask wearing is mandatory while inside the pool facility.

There will be a prize table throughout the weekend. Swimmers will be allowed to enter their name two times for every day they swim and those who got bumped to Saturday’s 400m Free heats will be given two additional entries on Saturday to cover the fact that they weren’t able to swim on Friday.

The last thing to mention is that KSC is holding a 50/50 fundraiser during the weekend. The details for the fundraiser are located at www.rafflebox.ca/raffle/killarneyswim.
