Hello AGP, P, and HP families,

It's a Christmas miracle! Despite restrictions implemented by Saanich Commonwealth Place in Victoria, BC, it's looking like the 2021 PCS Christmas Cracker will run after all. And we are looking for your declaration by 11:59pm on November 9th, 2021 so that we can plan our team travel effectively. Sorry for the short notice, but we just received confirmation from PCS that the meet will indeed be running. This meet is the traditional, big Christmastime travel meet for OSC and we hope to see everyone that is eligible going.

Please review the following information:

• The meet will run from Friday, December 3rd to Sunday, December 5th.
• This is a 3-day heats and finals meet that is a longtime OSC favourite!
• Typically swimmers can swim up to 8 events each.
• With events running Friday/Saturday/Sunday, we would Team Travel earlier on the Thursday prior to the meet.
• This is a Team Travel event.

Recently released information from Pacific Coast Swimming:

• No spectators will be allowed. Another plus for Team Travel.
• All swimmers and coaches will need to be double vaccinated, and this will be checked at the entrance.
• Currently, unvaccinated 11&U are currently not allowed at the meet.
  • PCS is negotiating with the city in regards to 11&U participation, and hopes to make some progress on that over the next 3-5 days. They will keep us posted, and we will relay the information to you as necessary. For now, please don't declare unvaccinated 11&U until we have an update on this.
• The pool is only allowing 250 swimmers, but they are going to get around it by running multiple 250-swimmer sessions. This should be fairly quick, and might actually yield a better experience than the long waits typical for this size of meet.

Please Declare your swimmer as Attending by 11:59pm on Tuesday, November 9th, 2021. This is another one of those meets that is a season highlight, and we hope to see everyone that is eligible taking part.
