Meet Report | 2022 Provincial Champs
Here’s the Meet Report for the Provincial Championships from March 17-20th, 2022:
Team Goals
The Team Goals for this meet were to maintain speed off of the breakouts, and accelerate into the walls. Building off of the goals practised at the Provincial Trials meet, OSC’s top swimmers did an amazing job of using the walls to their advantage in the long course environment. Champs is such a competitive environment, where most swimmers have to swim personal bests in the morning to get the chance to race hard at night. Our kids stepped up to the challenge over and over again in amazing ways every day. Great job to all of our OSC swimmers!
Swimmer Stats
The club brought 27 swimmers to this event. We had 101 personal bests, and 21 podium places. The swimmer with the largest improvement was Abigail Bellikka, with an improvement of 1 minute and 27.46 seconds in the 200 IM, going from 4:23.53 to 2:56.07. Congratulations Abigail!
