Meet Report | 2021 JP Fiset Invitational

March 6, 2022

Here’s the Meet Report for the OSC JP Fiset Invitational from December 16-19th, 2021:

Team Goals

The Team Goals for this meet were to have a big presence, and cheer on our teammates to higher levels of performance. With it being our big home meet for the winter race cycle, the club was very well represented. Lots of swimmers stepped up to exciting new standards, like qualifying for the Western Canadian Championships. That can only happen if they’re being supported by all of their awesome teammates! Great job to all of our OSC swimmers.

Swimmer Stats

The club brought 87 swimmers to this event. We had 359 personal bests, 24 podium places, and 3 new club records. Congratulations to Hayden Visscher on his new records in 15-17 & Senior Boys 50 Breast (28.42), and 15-17 Boys 100 Breast (1:02.95). Hayden’s 50 Breast was also a new Provincial Record! The swimmer with the largest improvement was Samuel Laurie, with an improvement of 49.32 seconds in the 1500 Freestyle, going from 18:40.26 to 17:50.94. Congratulations Sam!
